Versatile Heating

The heating element is sandwiched between two layers of aluminium foil, at a consistent spacing to ensure safe heating output. The aluminium cover shields all inner electromagnetic radiation. The heater needs to be connected to an RCD protected circuit after the installation to ensure full protection against fire and shock hazards.

Accidental spills and/or steam cleaning present no problem. Coldbuster carpet heating systems comply with IEC specifications and carry the CE mark.

Straight Forward Installation

Installing Coldbuster carpet heating is easy and no special tools are required.

Simply follow the recommended layout provided, unroll the heater mat and cut the foil (without cutting the heater element) to change the direction as illustrated below.

Care must be taken to never cut or cross over elements!

The Coldbuster Carpet Heater is to be laid on top of the underlay using conductive silver tape provided by Coldbuster to keep in place. It’s important to ensure the heating is secured with the tape in order to prevent the heater shifting when the carpet is laid.

Heater element classification

The Coldbuster heater element has been classified as an electrical appliance. All electrical connections such as connection to RCD protected circuit and connection of the thermostat must be undertaken by a licensed electrician in accordance with current electrical codes of practice, AS/NZS3000:2007 and state codes.
