We’re about to get the house re-carpeted so thought we should investigate underfloor heating at this time. We currently have a space heater (soon to be replaced by gas log fire) in the open plan family/living area. Upstairs generally stays warm with heat rising through the house and north facing windows. Reverse cycle AC takes care of the drying cupboard. We already have a quote from Speedheat, but for just two rooms we’re looking of a reasonably economic solution (if this doesn’t work we’ll probably just go for panel heaters). To save cost maybe don’t quote on the space where our king-sized bed sits under the northern window in the MBR? Not looking for heaps of heat, just wanting to take the edge off (i.e. get to 20 degrees). Windows are all double glazed.
