Differences between Coldbuster tile heater and free form cable kits
 A
free form cable kit is simply a heating cable supplied as one long continuos roll of wire on a spool. Installation of cable kits requires looping the cable up and down the floor at a pre-calculated spacing. The closer together the floor heating cables the hotter it will be, and the further apart they are the cooler it will be. Irregular cable spacing will result in hot and cold spots on the floor and in most instances, free form cable kits also require a screed topping before the final floor finish is layed.
 The
Coldbuster tile heater is a free form cable kit pre-configured in strip form of 300mm and 600mm. The pre-measured heating element is looped on double sided adhesive tape in strip form removing the risk of hot and cold spots on the floor. The 1mm thin heating element does not affect floor levels and does not require costly screeds or toppings before the final floor finish is layed.
The main advantage of Coldbuster tile heater kits is a reduced time of installation. Heaters supplied pre-configured with all the hard work done for you removes the need to work through confusing calculations and constant measuring of spacings between heating cables. The heater is also supplied with waterproof factory terminated cold tail leads removing the need to splice cold tail leads on site.
 Installation of
a Coldbuster tile heater is easy. Simply start where the thermostat location is and roll out the heater, shaping it to suit the room layout. By peeling the wax paper off the double sided tape you simply stick the heater to the floor as you move along. Larger rooms may require a combination of heaters which will all start from the same thermostat position. Installation of the floor heater is completed by unrolling and sticking down the self adhesive fibreglass mesh over the heater.
