At 280w, heating in my ensuite is both efficient and convenient with the set and forget timer switch. I took great pleasure in throwing out my 2000w fan heater. It was easy for me to install - me being a woman. Straightforward and simple instructions, and the final results...fantastic. Everyone who comes to my home comments on the beautiful warm floors in the bathrooms and toilets, it also warms the room to a lovely comfortable heat. And the cost is minimal; I can hardly notice a change in my electricity account. I wish I had installed this product under all my tiles. Next house will definitely have Coldbuster heating. I just love it. Easy to install and works well I’ve only used your undertile heating kits so far and find them to be easy to fit quality products (and apparently the best on the market). Easy to use product and provides efficient heating tile but not substrate. Tilers must be made aware of how fragile the product is when cleaning grout joints to ensure no damage to product. So far I have only installed 1 which was great compared to the previous product I had been using, being able to roll out the element and do a rough layout prior to removing the protection from the adhesive tapes is good, but by the time you fit it there are bits of tape backing all over the place, but it's still better than trying to deal with a roll out stick down not to many second chances sort of a deal, then rolling out the top mat works well, perhaps just a bit more of the top mat may be handy. It was easy to install and we do like the warm bathroom! The other reason we chose your product is because of low radiation levels. It was great to install and easy to use We completely gutted and renovated our bathroom. During the planning we compared several floor heating products. The Cold Buster product seemed to have the best of all the other products in one. The low profile wiring meant screeding under tiles could be done with the tile adhesive only, without the need for levelling or other bulking products. Many others were 3mm or more. And the fully programmable thermostat appeared to be an optional extra on many other brands. Price was very competitive despite all the bonuses. And it was very easy to install. Logical installation process. Great help over the phone. I found the installation very easy and the system works just great. We are very happy with it and have installed it in more rooms. It was a quick decision to use an under tile heating device and your Coldbuster system seemed simple to install. - This turned out to be correct and it was also a learning experience for my bathroom renovator. We had no problems and the Klima Guard gave us assurance that the system was not damaged during the tiling stage. Easy install great performance The concept behind Coldbuster under floor heating is very simple. it\'s lovely when you get up in the middle of the night and walk across the warm tiles. I found it easy to lay once you get over the fear of accidentally breaking a wire! (Which I haven\'t done, but it was always in the back of my mind!!) I like that you can zone your heating. About the only thing I find a bit confusing is setting of the heating cycle, but once you set aside the time to read the booklet it becomes much easier. And the cat loves it! Very effective and works well for an amateur installation. Installation very simple and easy to do Absolutely LOVE it!! Installed it myself before I tiled & found it very straightforward. John was very helpful for my first installation in the new bathroom and Annie supplied a plan and helpful advice (size of heater needed) for my new kitchen. Efficiency Due to 1 mm design I could add this as underfloor heating under laminate flooring on concrete in my dental practice. Patients and staff love it, never cold feet any more. And very energy efficient, room temperature can be lower with same comfort My rug heater is great, cheap to use, and most of all clean, no more dusty air. The cat won't get off it when it's on. There was always a chill in the front of the house and now we only have it set for 17 and there is no longer a chill. I haven’t noticed an increase in energy cost. Our lounge room has become a very snug enjoyable space where we take our slippers off and warm our bodies. The Coldbuster is an efficient and economical way to heat the room and has replaced our old oil burner. All our visitors have been most impressed with how quickly the Coldbuster warms the lounge room without the addition of an ugly heater or costly fireplace. Most effective type of heating for the area it is needed for, and to complement other existing heating. Don’t know why more people don’t use them under rugs, they are cost effective. Easy to install, nice and warm. Expensive to run. Does exactly what it says on the tin - it keeps my house warm... Excellent Performance. Simple Installation. Good for local heating under computer desk I bought a heated mat for under the desk where I study. It has made the world of difference to my life. The under rug heater is a good way to heat a medium sized room with a gentle, but constant flow of warmth. It is lovely for the kids to sit on a cozy warm rug. It is however, a bit slower than other heating methods to reach its full effectiveness. Very easy to purchase and helpful over the phone. The under carpet heaters are a cosy comfort and especially good for those in-between days when it's not cold enough for the main heater. I found the instructions a bit confusing and rang the installer who talked me through the process of upping the temperature. Once set all ok the floor heats up then when bedtime comes it is turned off - the floor retains the heat until the next morning making the floor comfortable to walk on. The only negative comment that I have is that the instructions for setting the timer are difficult to follow. I believe using the under floor heating has enabled us to use much less other heating over the winter. It was also very easy to install taking my husband and myself only 45 minutes to do so. We saved about $900 installing it ourselves. Fantastic product - prompt delivery, easy to install. Changes to temperature quick and easy to make. Good value particularly since programmable thermostat included. Easy to install but manual needs updating and made more clear. Wiring instructions confusing. Easy installation we were getting new carpet and this was easy to install at the same time. My son is an electrician so electrics were not a concern but was also easy. You know when the heat is on as every now and then the dogs disappear in to the carpet area and you find them on their back on the heated area. Trades - Electricians and Builders We have used Cold buster on 3 jobs now they have designed each job . It’s easy to install & hassle free. Most Pleased, third time user, we had a problem area (concrete floor) downstairs it worked beautifully I am an architect and owner builder. We liked the 1mm depth and that we could install it ourselves. It works really well; we had no trouble installing it and have had no trouble with it since installation. Online help prior to purchase was great. We love it. I found the system very easy to specify the right system for our ensuite, the installation as straight forward and the wife and pets The client tells me he is experiencing hot and cold spots. And very energy efficient, room temperature can be lower with same comfort This product was easy to install and perfectly positioned under floor tiles without level deviations. ...The only issue I can say I have had is that the tilers are wary because of the perceived thinness of the wire. On the later installations I overcame this by insisting that the tilers lay a screed over the wire before laying the tiles.
Where we are improving Thermostat difficult to program and use. Confusion between floor temp and room temp settings. Good product, the controller could be a bit easier in setup. The button gets stuck every time we turn it off. I found the instructions a bit confusing and rang the installer who talked me through the process of upping the temperature. Once set all all ok. The floor heats up then when bedtime comes it is turned off - the floor retains the heat until the next morning making the floor comfortable to walk on. Coldbuster has revised the user manual for the Programmable thermostat (TH-018FS) Coldbuster will be releasing an new, simplified programming model thermostat in August 2009 |
